Royal Jelly lets you unlock various units and their special abilities, as well as customizing their stats. Each Territory Point lets you dig one tile in the formicarium. Royal Jelly and Territory Points are unique resources in this mode. You can only have a certain maximum number of ants before each Formicarium Challenge. After each challenge or mission, the scientists feed the colony seeds and live creatures.
The colony must establish itself in the formicarium and survive a multitude of challenges that the two scientists create. The primary mode of the game is the story mode where the player takes the ownership of a gene-thief colony observed by two scientists.
